Why we exist?
Hey Stranger was founded to help international brands market smarter in Europe — and to bring true localization expertise into a globalized world.
From building a brand from the ground up to optimizing mature campaigns, we’ve worked across every aspect of modern marketing: influencer collaborations, paid social and search ads, content strategy, social media management, CRM, email marketing, SEO, and web.
We saw that too many brands struggle with European expansion because they treat it as a simple translation exercise – when in reality, it’s about understanding culture, behavior, and market dynamics. That’s where we come in.
We bridge this gap with hands-on execution and deep market insight, especially for brands entering or expanding within the DACH region.
Our Story
Hey Stranger was founded by Valentina Foykar, an Austrian marketing expert with a global mindset - and hands-on experience across both European and Asian markets. The idea began in Taiwan, where Valentina completed an MBA at National Taiwan University and later led the DACH marketing efforts for a fast-growing Taiwanese tech accessory company. There, she helped significantly expand the brand’s visibility and community in the German-speaking market. That experience highlighted just how different European and Asian audiences are - and how localization, not just translation, is key to success. What started as one marketer bridging two regions has grown into a strategic marketing consultancy - helping international brands confidently grow in Germany and beyond. Today, Hey Stranger combines strategic thinking with hands-on execution across all essential marketing touchpoints - from content and social to paid media, CRM, and beyond.
